"Opening the door to Information, Imagination, and Inspiration"

In 2005, the Manistee County Library celebrated its centennial. For more than 100 years, this historic landmark has served the community, driven by a clear mission: to provide information, imagination, inspiration; and the tools and opportunities to those who have the will. With the help of the Manistee County Community Foundation, an endowment fund has been set in place to help preserve and maintain this beautiful and essential building.

Serving a population that has grown significantly over the past decade, the Manistee County Library Fund will help provide the means for the Library to reach its service goals which include: bringing printed and media collections up to Library of Michigan Quality Standards, becoming compliant with the statewide library databases, and providing high speed Internet access for Library patrons.

The Manistee County Library is focused on meeting the needs of the Manistee community. Their vision is to play a role in aiding community and economic development, fostering cultural and educational enrichment, adding spark and innovation, and remaining an indispensable focus for community vitality.
