About Eva

Eva Seng passed away in March of 2008 and will forever be remembered as an individual dedicated to the betterment of her community -- especially its youth.  Eva knew that greatness existed in young people beyond what was seen on report cards or in the media.  For Eva, this greatness was obtained through the selfless service of others, and it was something that could be obtained by anyone.

In 2006 Eva founded what would become the Eva Seng Memorial Good Works Scholarship as a way to encourage both civic engagement and social responsibility in community youth.  She has since ushered many high-school students in the Manistee Community on to higher education and a lifetime of giving.  Eva was adamant that the scholarship hold no GPA requirements, because for her, every young person has the ability to creatively solve community issues.
